CURRENT Wait for API

What is the current wait time for an API class? I am specifically interested in the Marine SNA side, not the Navy. I have a while yet, as I finish TBS this coming December, but I just want to get an idea of what how long the wait is right now. Any info or direction is appreciated.

Also, what sort of "stash" jobs can Marine SNAs expect to see once in A-pool?

Thanks!

Anyone who gives you a "current" wait time for API right now won't be able to give you any idea of what the wait is gonna be in 6 months. People can and may get it close but honestly you won't know till you actually get down here. Ask again in October/November and you'll get a much better guesstimation.

Do a search on the board. That will tell you the types of stash jobs there are and you will also learn that the wait right now is bound to be MUCH different than it will be in Jan when you get to Pcola. For the time being focus on TBS, learn as much as you can and live it up with friends there.

You have a ton of stuff to get through at TBS, but keep P'cola on the mind through those cold nights in the field - and hot nights for you too. Good luck with everything, check back and ask some of the guys closer to Dec. The sit. really does change quite a bit depending on when you show up down here.

The jobs can vary quite a bit - from being the head of a 5k committee to working with young Marines, to having a full time office job then to checking in twice a week and chillin on the beach. Its different now from when I was there 7 months ago and with a new CO coming in, new Marines filling those positions in the Lts office, who knows.

Good luck at TBS, learn a lot and dont let the game get you down.

That all depends on if your a SNA or SNFO, IFS complete or not, ect, ect. Nothing is final at MATSG until your on the right side of the board, even then its still up in the air.

I've heard of several guys who were released from TBS a few weeks early with the promise of starting right away, but still had to wait a few months once down here. (Anyone whom this refers to, please fill in.) Call me crazy, but if given the choice, I think your time would be more valuably spent in Quantico than Pensacola.

I was actually getting at finishing TBS (though worthless as it might seem) before heading down to P'cola. As for Mike Co, yeah, I'll give you that.

Na just 20 of us went down a week early( which is all mass out processing anyway) expecting to start on June 22. Then the Navy said nope we cant class up anymore Marines. So we wait, but checking in a week ahead of 120 other Marines from Alpha was money. The big thing is getting your little magnet from the left side of the board to the right. Once thats done, you have a pretty good idea when you will start. SEMPER

So, by leaving Quantico early, you effectively cut down your beach & beer time? Why again is that beneficial?
