I think that's the case for the military in general, not just today's military. My dad says that all the time and he enlisted in 1967.

Oh it's very much a trademark of military service. I have yet to experience the opposite in my enlisted time haha.

Bullets don't fly without Supply
Just an FYI...I was at a Supply event last weekend and I heard from 2 Admirals that the DCO Supply board was meeting this week (Week of July 23rd). One of those Admirals was sitting on the board. If what I heard is correct, I don't think you will find out for another few weeks.

That would be news to me...last I heard (from personal OR and RUFiO) the board was rescheduled for July 2nd from I believe June 18th. Not saying I don't believe you...just seems odd they would push it back without stating it.

I agree. I was surprised to hear it, but it was mentioned more than once. If you'd like I can reach out to someone that can confirm.

Although I am hoping that what you heard was incorrect, judging by your source and where you were at, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this is true. At this point there isn't anything I can do anyways, so what's another couple weeks of waiting going to hurt?! Just gathering everything and waiting for this Board to meet was a 14 month process to begin with, so I have already prepared myself for a long journey. The one thing to keep in mind is that in the end it will all be worth it should I receive that selection! @ABMD thanks for the info.
