Congrats on everyone who made it. I called my recruiter and was told the pro recs are not out yet. This makes me curious since people are finding out who made it and who did not.

Does anyone who has previously been through the program have some insight regarding next steps and the timeline?

Philly, Have you been selected? If so, you'll need to hang tight until your RRA and FINSEL come in (probably 4-8 weeks). Once those are completed you can start planning your commissioning. As soon as you get the letter stating you've been selected you can also head down to your nearest CAC office and get your CAC. You'll probably get a message from the RCC N4 regarding your DCOIC quota. You'll want to get DCOIC done as soon as possible because you can't start BQC until that is completed.

As of yesterday, OR says the pro rec results have not been posted for supply.

Thank you for responding to my post! Yes, I have been selected and they are currently conducting the background examination. I guess I'll have to sit tight until I receive my RRA and FINSEL. Everything seems to take months.... Can you further elaborate on the timeline after I swear in? Is that when we will enroll in the DCOIC program? Do those only occur a few times a year? I wonder what the average time to get into the DCOIC program is? What about the BQC course... is that only scheduled a few times a year as well?

Any further information would be greatly appreciated!

It's been a while, but I believe after you swear in you will still need to be gained by your local NOSC. Once that is done you will attend INDOC (your first drill weekend) at your NOSC where they go over all the depts at the NOSC, etc. Your recruiter should also be speaking to you about possibly units to drill with during BQC. Your OR should give you the option of several units and their respective COs contact info.

You have to complete DCOIC before you can attend BQC.

You can get into DCOIC pretty quick. I was able to get into a class 4 months post commissioning (that's pretty quick). A few years ago that wasn't the case, it took people a year or longer to get in due to the backlog (several JOs in my unit were in that class)

I'd try to get into BQC as quick as possible after DCOIC. If you schedule it right, you should be able to knock out DCOIC and BQC within your first 18 months.

The RCC N4 should pair you with a local Suppo who should act as a mentor as you navigate things and answer questions (like where to get your uniforms).

Thank you for the detailed reply. This was exactly what I was looking for! I wish the recruiter would have broken down the next steps as well as you did - he seemed to know very little about the process (newer guy). I really appreciate you inserting the links as well - they were very helpful! I will heed your advice and try to get into BQC as quick as possible after attending DCOIC. Hopefully the remainder of the process goes smoothly.

Just wondering but I didn't see a solid answer for the dates of the selection board in FY19? Is there a scheduled board or was the previous thought of it being canceled true?

I was selected for the Supply Corps DCO program first attempt I'm still in shock! Has anyone on here been to DCOIC school in the last three years or know someone that has? If anyone wants to know how I approached the process let me know. Perhaps I could help in some small way.
