I think you answered your own question LOL… sound like a great candidate. Seems like your competition would be similar background plus prior service. Good luck!

The interviews I would argue are the biggest weight for the DCO boards. Bear in mind, a resume isn't an official/governing document and applicants can easily "pad" work experience, job titles, accomplishments, etc. that might not even be true. DCO board members are 100% aware of this and have been able to really tell those who do.

Similar to the civilian sector, interviews allow those in the organization to actually "gauge" the candidate and see if they would be a good fit to the team. You can have the best resume ever in terms of experience, education and certifications, however if you are not a good fit in terms of the interview, it can really sink your odds.

Thanks! With that logic, it seems Navy evals would hold a lot of weight, as it is a navy official document. LORs from current officers could also hold a lot of weight.

Yup, Feel free to reach out to me too. I can share some experience from operational unit to non-operational units.

Hello! I would like to reach out, if possible. I applied for suppo reserves. Waiting to hear from the board. I’d love to get some insights mainly about the civilian vs reserves life balance. It would help a lot. Thank you!

I heard 30. Good luck! I’m queuing to hear from the board as well!
The board will convene June 10th and will know in the weeks following.

Thirty definitely seems realistic in comparison to previous years. I would estimate a twenty percent selection rate. I could see a few more with the current climate of recruiting.

Last year was 42 selections. I don't see that number going down based on conversations I have had. We shall see!

Just wondering, does it matter to the Board if you’re female or male? In other words, are there gender quotas to be filled up in each position? Thanks. Sorry if this has been answered already
