Is this true for both civilians and AD people? My whole recruitment office was under the impression that only reserve intel guys/gals had to do the SSO interviews...

I am AD and I was informed that I needed to complete a clearance prescreen interview (although I already have TS/SCI clearance) . I just submitted the additional information to NRC this morning.

Is this the interview with an FBI agent which is part of the background check? Or a different interview with Navy personnel?

I already have a clearance (meaning I have already gone through the process of speaking with an agent). This was a simple over the phone interview consisting of about 15-20 yes or no questions.

Ahh, damn. I had gotten excited for a minute there thinking that the FBI interview meant a FS letter was in the works.

We were told it was a new requirement for ALL IDC -- the folks I had to get SSO letters for are going Active Duty -- although if you are Active Duty right now - that might be different if you already hold a clearance...

My OR said, "the issue at this time is the funding for the final select letter that ties in to the OCS class and the subsequent classes." I'm guessing that means the people responsible for the FS letters are waiting on some sort of budget from the higher up. Anyone have any information regarding this "funding" issue?

Just go my Pro Rec SNA and NFO yesterday. Pretty ecstatic. Though i'm waiting on the results for the INTEL board as well before I decide which one to take since I applied for INTEL as my first choice

For the IDC community the new requirement is to have an SSO interview and have a favorable result. If this hasn't been submitted, then it will hold up the release of your select letter. Unfortunately, NRC did not inform the SSO's of this requirement. Nor did some commands/recruiters know either... I would ask if you need this... Unless of course you already did one. But this was not part of the kit, just a requirement for the select letter

Well I have a clearance already, and had my command's security officer sign one of the sheets in the application that was submitted. I haven't heard anything about a separate interview.
