College Program is the way to go.....number 1 priority for a 3 year schoolarship is grades! Make sure you bust you're hump you first year to get the grades......you could be a model Midshipmen, but without the grades you will most likely be denied a scholarship.

I was in your same boat....applied to U of Washington first choice.....and had Oregan State, U of Idaho, Oklahoma.....I think I cant remember.....I got denied!!!! I was bummed...but atributed it to a late turn in of the application.......no sweat....went to college....busted my hump....excelled at Parts of NROTC....got the grades...was motivated.....got the three year.....now I'm trying to bust my hump to get my Wings!

:)

if there is one thing you can learn being in or around the Navy, it is that if you gett shot down the first time, rebound with a better attitude and motivation and they take notice......they like that personality type! They dont want quiters!

Try, Try Again

Iwas also denied a scholarship out of high school, yet upon further investigation it was noted that my ACT scores were incorrect. I would check the website to verify your information is correct, then call Pensacola and see if you can talk to someone as to why you were rejected. The competition is tough so if it doesn't pan out I would go CP.

Make sure you know what you are getting in to. You will be surrounded by dirty hippies that smell like sour milk and socialist radical bastards. If you are the least bit conservative be ready for the shock of your life. Boulder is the Berkely of the midwest. While the campus is one of the nicest in the west...every single one of my friends can't wait to get out of here. Boulder (the whole damn city) = retarted. On the flipside if you are in the engineering program it isn't too bad. Anything arts and sciences and you will be indoctranated with liberal agendas (i.e. US troops are terrorists, we deserved 9-11 ect.).

Don't get me wrong, I was born in Boulder, but I can't walk to class without being bombarded about sweatshops and smelling some a$$hole's joint. But things might change with our new president. Just my $.02

You could always do what I did when I found out I was denied......... enlist. But then, I didn't know anything about college program or PNS scholarships or anything like that. It wasn't until I had been enlisted for a few months and one of the advisors from the University of Memphis called me up to see if I would be interested in college program. Great timing sir!!! Anyways, I don't know if I still would have enlisted if I had known about the other options, but I certainly don't regret it. The opportunities are certainly there to pick up a commissioning program as an enlisted member. They didn't have STA-21 when I was selected for an officer program but that is the best deal running in the military. I'm not trying to convince you to enlist, but it wouldn't be the worst decision you could make. Just my .02¢

You know I don't speak Spanish!
Well, being enlisted may be fun, but it's certainly not the way to go if your goal is to be a pilot. While it can be done, obviously, it's certainly the long route.

ah hippy women are easy! you just have to get past the leg hair and da monster bush.....

I would have flunked out of CU being a Ski junkie myself....worst part about moving from my mountains to go to school on the pairie was the castration of my ski habits!

College Program!!!! Do it! If you can get past all of the BS of NROTC (yeah there is def. some stuff you'll shake your head at) and focus on your goal, you will succeed.....well everything you do in life will have some amount of BS you have to deal with......NROTC is a good program...some people let the small stuff go to their head and quit (first year guys mostly) cause they cant see the piece of coal for the Diamond.
