The fit checks have been done away with. I got re-measured last spring and brought this point up with the flight surgeon, and he said that a new NAVAIRINSTRUCTION was released that reversed the decision to allow fit checks to qualify people into different pipelines. It doesn't hurt to ask if you are getting a problem on a flight physical (nothing to lose scenario) because you might get lucky with a flight surgeon that will help you out. I just wanted to mention that higher powers have passed a rule that fit checks are now a no no. Hopefully this will be changed in the future.

Wow... No fit checks... I had three "Below the Norm" stamps, and the fit checks are what kept me in the pipeline... Otherwise I would have been NPQ'd...
