He was relieved while I was in Japan for LSAP, and I honestly thought those that hadn't graduated yet were going to cry when they heard that news. Tears of joy, yes.
I wrote this four years ago when my two kids were at USNA and they were kvetching about the food and the whole "We are a nation at war" thing. Funny to read it now. Both have now graduated and selected Navy and Marine pilot. Took me two nights and a couple glasses of wine. Yes, I was a Group 3 major.
