Wait for API? Depends on alot of stuff. The short answer is, in a word, long.

Awww, long huh? The post afterwards said upwards of 16 weeks? I guess that's a lot. Let's see, how long was I in A-pool. 7 months. Yep, that was the wait this time last year. Count yourselves lucky if you class up in 16 weeks.

Part Time Jobs

Getting a part time job isnt really that big a hassle on the flight management side of things. It only takes a few minutes to fill out your chit and get it approved. Frog, Im with you on not going out drinking every night. Thats why I went and got a job and as long as you find one that will let you work a few evenings a week you'll still have time to go out and it wont get in the way of your duties at the base.

I just got to good ol P-cola, seems like a 2 month wait for IFS and another month wait before API, not a bad deal. My friends back home are super jealous of the delay!

Dude... beach, bars, golf... that's all you need. Don't volunteer for anything (made that mistake once) and just chill...

That's my advice.

go to a shooting range. if you don't have a pistol or rifle, get one and shoot. it is fun, relieves stress, and if you find out you aren't the pilot you thought you were somewhere in iraq the time spent in API will pay off large dividends.

Couldnt have said it any better. But dont forget Babes :D

Oh, and also......dont be in the front row on MWF muster. Youll get volun-told in a heartbeat. Same goes in the chapel on Thurs. Try to sit in the front. Youre less likely to get chosen for some crappy job like NAMRL or moving chairs and heavy oak tables in the api bldg. But then again, we get O-1 pay while waiting to class up so i cant really complain. But then again, i am complaining.

Engaged or dead? Your not married until you're married. Just limit your activities to one nighters with no commitments! :icon_smil :angel_125:devil_125
