Concur. Actually I got a pretty good deal since I got one for uniforms at NSI and then another upon commissioning. Taking good care of my uniforms = money in the bank

And, after commissioning/uniform inspections at TBS, you won't wear the majority of those sharp ass uniforms anywhere near enough to justify the expense...but you'll have 'em anyway

I had a feeling that would be the case. At least I will have nice stuff to pass down to my kids. I guess that's a good way of looking at it LOL.

I don't know how true that is these days. I had to wear mine at least once a month on PTAD just waiting for TBS. My buddies on funeral detail wear theirs 3-5 days a week. I know there are other stash billets out there that require the uniform too.

the uniform was what ~$1200 all said and done? I've worn it 9x PTAD, 2x MCBB, 1x wedding, 2x TBS, 1x commissoning = 15 times out of 21 months. I figure that I'll get my money's worth before long.

Funeral detail at MATSG destroyed my dress blues. Outdoor funerals in the Florida summertime induce a metric shit ton of sweat and nastiness. Not that I'm complaining. On the contrary, it's quite an honor to give respect to those who deserve it. Funeral detail was a great stash job.
