Thanks though, can't wait to get there but I'll enjoy the time off too.

There are 170 seats per year, and the last commissioning programs brief I attended said every year seats aren’t filled. Has that changed?

Please take your experience and pay it back/forward to future classes of naval officers. Encourage every Sailor you encounter in the fleet who is young enough and capable enough to do this. They’ll want STA-21 so that they can do real college, but that’s a slim shot and this is still a great opportunity.

I cannot speak to the # of seats but we have not reached 170 enlisted applicants in any class since I've been here - not by a very very long shot. In fact I think only about 55% of the enlisted I began with will ultimately finish with me.

While I have little good to say at the moment (since liberty has been restricted again due to COVID and this makes for an angry Mid), the education I received here has been nothing short of phenomenal. Now you can all probably tell I squandered that education a little bit based on my command of the English language, however, I have learned and experienced so much I'd never throw my time here away. I will certainly be advertising this option to those willing to listen.

to the OP, Congrats! My son is a 2nd class right now, so I know how much is sucks there these days. Hopefully you guys will get a somewhat normal commissioning week experience.

Is the 10pm screaming still happening every night?

Thank you! Yeah I'd like to say I enjoyed 1/c year, sadly, I'm pretty excited to see it behind me. They're telling us they intend for a normal week, but no promises.

Absolutely, 10pm sharp. Here is a link to my drive with an audio recording my roommates took the night the new ROM was announced.
