I'll have to look into that.

OBTW, I think the term for what you are doing is "enabler". I'll need someone to blame at the counseling session.

You would be correct. I need company in the dog house. Oh and I've had all kinds of stuff blamed on me in counseling sessions. If I ever go again the counseler will be a man. I'm tired of getting ganged up on.

I received an email today from DYNAMIC ARMAMENT, saying my mags have shipped. I thought it would be an ass pain wait, like months. Got a box of bullets and brass today from Natchezzs, schweet!

Now the game (for bullets and brass) is not searching for the best price but availability...

Try here at Buds Gun Shop. I just recently bought 500 rounds of .223 from them for $6 a box of 20.

Mags

My mags arrived today! That was fast. I was figuring on a long excruciating ass pain wait....

COMNAVWIFEPAC is wondering why all these boxes keep showing up marked ORM-D. I'm wondering why the need to put that label on a box full of empty unprimed brass?

I got mine on Thursday. Ordered over the weekend, showed up on what was the 4th business day. That's satisfactory service.

Already took mine to the range. Work pretty well; one FTF on the 30 rounder I ordered. I'll have to break them in, I guess.

I've noticed a little downside to the vaunted MagPul magazines ....

The poly MagPul magazines certainly do not "drop-free" from a "poly" receiver, i.e., say something like an FN FS2000 w/ a poly mag well, just as an example. They actually require a little more effort than standard contract mags to remove them from the mag well. I can always use standard metal mags ... but ...

Anyone else experienced this phenom w/ bullpups ... ???

Some mag wells are tighter than others of course even on "standard" AR lowers. I've heard of some guys with having trouble with them dropping free on Smith and Wesson AR lowers. I think the new design addresses the tight mag wells on weapons like the FN. Who knows when we will see them hit the market though.

Got an update from a tech-guru @ Magpul:

He said the Magpuls and bullpup designs don't like each other very much as the continuous "curve" on the Magpul tends to make it fit too snug in the bullpups, especially the FS2000, for example. A GI contract metal magazine for the AR/M16 is a little "straighter" at the top half of the mag and this is evidently more compatible w/ a bullpup magazine well. Using Magpuls on bullpups also affects feeding, according to the guy who wants to sell Magpuls. This is obviously a no-no ... although I have not had a feed problem -- yet -- so I'll abide by his suggestion and just go w/ standard magazines in the "pups" even though all items are STANAG standard. Go figure ...

Bottom line: he suggested to just use "regular" GI magazines in the bullpups, which is what FN supplies w/ their products.
Another FN design feature which might affect the magazine situation is the rubber "dust" gasket inside the mag well -- makes for a tighter fit and is removable if you want to go there, but as issued the FN it doesn't like poly magazines.

Live & learn ... :)
