Fall Service Selection

Has anyone heard anything about the Fall service selection yet? Our unit told us last week that we were getting a message sometime this week. Anyone else hear that?

I'm graduating in DEC... I was told we wouldn't find out til mid-Oct.... WTF? I'm ready to find out what I'm doing, I only have 100 days til commissioning!!!!!

oct is still a month and a half until you graduate - be happy that you are getting it that early! haha

get used to finding things out last minute and having them change 40 times before anything actually happens

I graduated in Dec last year and my service select was 16 OCT. I remember because my B-day is on the 17th. Now THAT was a fun night!!

Yeah, I had a bad dream last night about Service Selection... I was opening some envelope and it said I wasn't picked for any of my choices that I put down... granted you have 4 choices and you pretty much have to put SWO down for one of them... and then I woke up... phew! It still would've been a bad dream if I was just picked SWO too though

Do you have a line on when Fall selections come out typically. I realize it's all guess work to some extent, but what was the timeframe last year? Also, what is the SNA/SNFO quota like for the December grads? I've seen this question asked alot on this board and it's usually answered with the May numbers. Again, I know it's all ballpark, but even that is good enough for today!

If you do your service selection in Oct, do you usually find out if you got it or not around December? Either a great Christmas or a SWO Christmas?

Also, I know at our unit there are 6, that's right 6 out of the 11 or 12 seniors who want SNA. Are we going against each other for a slot or are we going against every other senior graduating? Also, any good gouge on the possible number of slots would be great, I have heard that there are anywhere from 10-30 fewer SNA spots this go around.

I did my service selection in October for a summer graduation (spring and summer are done at the same time). I found out like the 2nd or 3rd week in January ... so it will probably be an aprehensive Christmas.

You didn't find out until Jan huh, that sucks. Is that becuase you were a summer grad or was that for everyone?

Found out New Years Eve. It was a good night, from what I'm told.

Spring and Summer grads both find (or at least did when I did my selection) out at the same time.

Cool to find out on new yrs eve ... as long as it is what you want! haha

Any idea how the Hurricane will affect the release of Service Selection results? My unit seems to think that there will be a significant delay. Anyone heard anything...FYI, I am referring to the Service Selection results for DECEMBER grads only!
