Fall Service Selection

Update: For those of us waiting to hear the service selection results for Fall 2004, the XO of my unit emailed Pensacola yesterday (30 Sep 04) and received the following reply:

Hello CDR,

We are finalizing service selection and expect to release results next week.

Okay, I guess I am confused, what exactly does that mean? Is that for the December grads or is that for everyone, i.e. May 05 grads? We haven't even done our official service selection at our unit yet. Someone help me out.

Avoiding the obvious smart-assed response, seeing as how this whole thread is about the December Grads Service Selection (ie; FALL Service Selection), the email I quoted refers ONLY to those graduating this December.
Those of you graduating in May '05 would therefore be referred to as SPRING Service Selection.

Right but we do our service selection in the fall, we find out in the spring, either way. Thanks for clearing it up.

Results are in!!!!

The results for service selection came out today. 2 of 2 selected for SNA (myself included.) 1 of 1 selected for NFO.

Was that just OC's or were there Mids as well? (I don't know if the selection boards are combined or whatnot!)

For OCs under the Core option, their service selection is combined with the Midshipmen's. So yes, those were both OCs and Midshipmen.

Our unit has the results right now, but haven't told us yet! Rumor has it everyone got what they wanted, so YEAY!!! We should find out here by tomorrow.

Congrats to all those selected for SNA or SNFO. Our unit got 3/3 pilots. Two had PRK.
