Wow that is a long wait. Just wondering, did you choose to wait that long? Are there ways to request an earlier OCS class date?Just curious, but does anyone know how many of the required items we're allowed to bring with us? Underclothes and stationary, etc? I've heard different things from different places, but I'd of course like to minimize expenses there as much as possible.
I was pro-rec'd for SNA back in July. It's been a very long wait and I'm excited to go through the ordeal with all of you! Poopy suits and Rhode Island winters aside, this is going to be a great experience.
Lol I was selected in June...I would take the u deer garments...but mostly you will wear those and be issued others that you should use for inspection ...its estimated that you will spend $3500 or more on uniforms...so brings a few small items won't really save you much anyway...Wow that is a long wait. I don't think you'll spend more than $3500 on uniforms. My bill came to around 3 grand, including the Brooks Brothers SDB's, so I don't think it could be much more than that. Although some designators will need extra stuff (SNA/SNFO need brown shoes, CEC need Type III's, etc), but it still wouldn't be much more than 3 grand.Lol I was selected in June...I would take the u deer garments...but mostly you will wear those and be issued others that you should use for inspection ...its estimated that you will spend $3500 or more on uniforms...so brings a few small items won't really save you much anyway...
Are you still in college? That's a long time to wait!Hey guys, SNA selected back in July. Looking forward to finally getting out there. I was planning on driving out there but my recruiters flat out said they don't allow people to drive to OCS anymore. By they I think they mean the district. Has anyone else had this problem/ heard of this?

No, it was definitely not my choice to wait this long. I would have left the moment I finished my last final at college, but there were a few delays, and more than a few admonitions about hurrying up and waiting.Wow that is a long wait.
