Thank you! I would caution other selectees (especially other 1830s) against using my PROREC->FINSEL->OCS timeline as an estimation of wait times. Someone slated for the 20MAY18 class dropped out last minute, and I was simply fast and/or lucky enough to grab the opportunity to leave sooner. Best of luck to everyone.

Yea, four days prior before going would be a no go for me lol. I am active duty and have a family. There’s a lot of planning I need to do. Luckily I know my date now. Just not official

Filled out a "Pre-Enlistment Form" today. Recruiter says my FINSEL is sitting on the program manager's desk awaiting a signature then it comes to me. I'm getting giddy. Recruiter says I'm slated for 22JUL but I'm not betting on that, I'm staying suspicious of certainties until I see my FINSEL lol

I got my Pro Rec Y back at the end of March for SWO. I heard a couple of weeks ago that my class date will be 14 OCT but I'm still waiting on FINSEL papers. My recruiter said he was in purgatory for over a year before he actually went to OCS. He also told me that pilots and NFOs are getting their FINSEL way before other packages he's put through.

What’s a usual timeline like for a SNA finsel? I was pro-rec’d this past week, my understanding is I get the OCS date once I get a finsel so I’m trying to figure out how much time I have to get in shape.

As a pilot or NFO selectee, I would be PT’ing my butt off if you slightly feel your not good shape. They tend to go quickly.

My recruiter told me yesterday that aviation is getting their FINSEL within a couple of weeks and sent to OCS very shortly after that. So if I were you, I'd be planning on being in the next class or two.

I marked 9/1 as the earliest ship date due to work commitments. I know I have 75 days before shipping at least, I’m more curious my odds of being pushed back beyond September. I know there’s a class on 9/23 so that would be ideal.
