@sevenhelmet I don't believe passive aviation headsets are being used anywhere in the .mil world. Maybe Army.

Ok. I figured if the USAF zigs, the USN will zag. Because reasons.

We also used DC headsets when I was a TPS student in 2014- the only time I flew with a headset on active duty. It’s very possible they’ve been replaced. @IKE ?

As has been mentioned before, ANR technology isn't great at surviving in the EM world around a boat. I know you're specifically referencing headsets, but looking at the bigger picture, any COTS solution for hearing protection is probably going to need additional shielding to be successful in that environment.
