Because we can. Actually, you can wear the DC's (or any other headset) outside of the boat or FCLPs. The right seater (Heinie) already has his helmet on because, well, he'll have to be wearing it sooner or later. The left seater (aforementioned) will have to put her helmet on once they get closer to the boat. Keep in mind that 1.) Bahrain is hot and 2.) helmets are hotter. Oh yeah, one more thing... Heine probably doesn't have a pair.
