Former Marine Aviator Arrested on Suspicion of Providing Aid to China

hasn't this guy been in pre-trial confinement for something like 2 years now? or not even yet removed to the US? or is he a guest of the federal bureau of prisons currently
 
Bottom line is this guy isn’t nearly as clever as he thinks he is. Thought he could use renunciation of citizenship as a get-out-of-jail card, literally, and sea-lawyer his way out of any ITAR violations.

I saw enough at the Syscoms to know that Uncle Sugar really doesn’t play around when it comes to ITAR.

He's still Down Under, fighting extradition. He'll probably be able to drag it out for a while, maybe even a few years, but he'll likely lose in the end.
 
Weird details in the story. Spent 24 years on active duty, left as an O4, though the story claims he had commanded “sensitive units.” Not sure how that squares up with reality.

What I find interesting is how much clarity they have on what happened while he was in-country.

Also, is "PRC Lode Technology Company" the Chinese equivalent to hiding in plain sight like "Ciao Airlines."
