Does anyone know if there is a farmers market or maybe even a grocery store with good fruit and veggies in Pcola? Mega Walmart, WinDixie and the commissary have been a bit lackluster. Damn, I miss Whole Foods...
 
there is actually a place off of 29 towards cantonment (paper mill), that has fresh fruit and veggies. It is a little farmers stand. :)

It's just the beginning of what you're going to miss while in Pensacola. Next on the list will be roads that don't suck, speed limits that don't suck, drivers who don't suck, weather that doesn't suck and then of course, civility. Good luck on your quest.
 
Evermans on Barrancas. It's a co-op and it costs $12 for the year to join. Good fruits and veggies. Ignore the hippies, everyone else does.

That was a decent store. I got some spices there once. You don't need to join the co-op to buy from there.
 
I ran into a farmers market on North Davis Highway between Brent and Fairfield Dr, I didn't go in yet so I can't vouch for the quality or prices. I'll have to check out some of those other places too.
 
I will have to check that out!! I grew up with my Dad having a 5 acre apple orchard and produce farm, so any good fresh fruits and veggies are winners here!! Look out for the commisary, have not had any luck with their produce section. Even in Va beach it was poor quality.
 
i don't know if you have kroger down there, but they always have the best produce.

all the commissaries i've been to have crappy produce.
 
Oh yeah, there's also a farmers market on Mobile Hwy about a 1/2 North of Michigan. Strange hours but honestly the freshest stuff around here.
 
Albertson's over near Cordova mall is pretty good for produce, they also have a good meat and seafood department.
 
At the intersection of Bellview and Mobile there is a Florabama (farmer's market). I drive past it a lot but have never shopped there.
