My stash job....doing the swimming demos for every API class at DWEST. I was a very good swimmer and volunteered. Really got me in great shape. Great hours. Work in swim trunks.

When I went through as a student, it was a breeze.

Over-water??! Thats awesome. We just did parasailing today, but i had no idear they used to do it over water. My nipples got hard just doing it over a big grassy field at about 400ft. I imagine it would have rocked to be over water. Well, except for the wet part. Then again, we didnt get to do the live helo hoist cuz the bird was broken. Bummer.

I want to change pools! Currently I am on my second stash job, the first was mainside Quantico for 3 months, and now over at NOMI. Get this, I sit in a closet that has an outlet and scan medical documents from microfishe into a computer database, ensuring each page is readable. If not....rescan. Project is timelined to be complete in 6-7years. Most painful moment of the day is getting an Admirals slide that has 30-40 years of physicals and waivers (about 200 pages). Paychecks keep coming so I keep scanning, it's what they need me to do, so be it. Put a dip in and push.

I start API at the end of July, so someone out there is going to get lucky!

What wonderful memories of that office I have. And I got to work all 5 days for 8 hours (the tragedy...) Of course they told me there was only 3 years of work when I was there, which I had complete within 3 weeks because I didn't sleep on my desk for 6 of the 8 hours like my civilian office mates.

You mean they do it over LAND now?? That sucks. The para-sail was fun. It also helped to know that no matter how badly you fvcked it up, you were landing in the water (no PLF injuries). Good times....

Well, P'cola bay in Feb was not much fun however you're right about it being a whole lot safer!

I did it in January. The trick is to go LAST. Everybody wanted to go first because they were excited and were worried that they'd stop the training due to winds/wave/etc. Then they froze their nuts off in the recovery boat.

I went last and got in the boat and came directly back to the warmth of shore. It pays to think ahead.

Hey, we don't mind taking PTAD guys in V22 land. It's your own nickel in J-actionville, NC, but it's low stress and a few rides in a good sim. Ask your STUCON O about it.

Anybody want PTAD here in Okinawa? I'm not sure that it can be done, but we could sure use the help around here.

I was stashed at MAG-41 in FW while waiting for the RAG. Learned a lot and had a great time.
