FY12 STA-21 Applicants

They'll be put up until the site administrators find out that they're up ... then the post will either taken off or locked up ... they want you to find out from your command.
From what I have read on here, it sounds like some commands had no clue results came out. The release dates seem to have varied quite a bit in the past. It sure would suck to constantly monitor this site almost hourly for the next month just to have the results come out late. So I propose that we all look forward to getting to see the quotas first.

Who will post it. From what I know nobody has that kind of connection. I don't, but maybe the guy just isn't saying anything now. Well in anycase, will somebody copy it before it gets erased? Just tell that you have seen it and we can get a "hint" through private messages. I don't want results I want hints.

The last time that I applied, the results came out via message traffic way after working hours. Somebody posted them on the site after that point .... but they still want you to get them through your command.

So my command is dissolving today and being absorbed by another. I am physically staying at the same building but my new CO will be at the new building. After next week we won't be getting any mail there, so when the results come out, my command won't be notified properly. Do i need to inform Pensacola about my CO changes?
If you go to the STA-21 website, go on your application, they leave your command info unblocked so you can update it if you have to.

That is par for the course. I logged in one morning and a guy had the results list and said to pm him. I pm'ed him but had to get to work. My COC had the results when I showed up to work, so the delay probably won't be bad.

Should this actually be done? I understand that updating information in the database makes communication and notification easier in theory. Do they frown on transferring while applying? The instruction reads that you can transfer as long as you receive official hardcopy orders prior to July 1. Does anyone else have any experience with this?

My thing is that I don't want to mess what I shouldn't mess with. If I log on and change my command, I don't want to somehow disqualify myself and go from selected to non-select. It seems like a nitty gritty issue, but I don't want to rock the boat. At the same time, what happens if the command is notified and the member has transferred? Do they refer whoever to your present command?

So don't change it. You will still find out when the navadmin comes out. No big deal.

If there were any discrepancies in a package, would there have been a note in the comment section back when the packages were reviewed back in July?

I noticed some people had said after checking their application status they found issues and simply sent in additional documentation prior to 1 Aug.

Reference the comment I posted earlier about the question I asked Mike Paros....I asked for the same reasons.

Yes, this is correct. The packages are required to be mailed out by 01 July, however, Pensacola allows for additional items, except for SAT's and ASTAB's, up to the 01 Aug deadline. There are a couple of scenario's where this comes into play: 1) Your command fouls up and doesn't send your package how you turned it in (This happened to me) 2) Your command fouls up and doesn't send in required items that they were supposed to take care of after you handed over custody to them (This happened to me) 3) You had additional documentation that you wanted to add such as college transcripts from summer courses, awards, etc. In the comments sections there would have been a detailed description of any error they found while checking your package into the system. They give you every opportunity to succeed.

I'm not sure how it works, but I know they will eventually send out the quota's and all of that information will be in there.

What I'd really like to see is where I fell out, one way or the other, when all was said and done. If I don't make it, it would be nice to know where I stand and the likelihood of ever cracking the selectee status - but that's with any selection board in the Navy I suppose.
