2 innings to go! and 2 days to go for results! lets go cards! and lets go results!!!
Message 383 came out 12/02 last year, i ain't waiting that long, i'll fly to Pensacola and steal those results, shouldn't be to hard to confuse the admin folk there, this is the same base that couldn't get any ones plane tickets right after I graduated Aircrew school! We are definetly not betting on it being 383 that is way too long to wait!! lol!!
The Sec of the Navy was on my ship yesterday and I was tempted to ask him if he knew when the results were going to come out. My CO was standing right next to be though so I chose not too, she did introduce me as a STA-21 canidate though that was cool. How many people checked the NPC site this weekend on the off chance the results got out over the weekend, I know I found myself doing it haha!
you are right sometimes it is better to be prepared for the worse case senario I know I do that, I already mentioned my plans for appliying this year. That doesnt mean that I am not optimisitic that I will get picked up this year though.I feel like the results coming sooner is just hastening my own demise. I tried not to get my hopes up: fail.
Yep, that was from late June/early July while I was in Vietnam. Diving off of a barge looking for lost pilots for JPAC. Can't say how it turned out since we did a ton of dredging and all the possible human remains went with JPAC. They usually take at least a few months to a year (sometimes more) to know if any remains match those missing guys. By then I may not even be at this command anymore so I doubt I'll ever find out.Hey DiverDan... I've been wondering: is that you in your profile pic?

How can you say shame on somebody for not wanting to be enlisted anymore and strive for something better like a commission? Not everybody's job in the navy is the same. Have you ever had to field day an engineroom for 5 hours? Have you ever had to get in a bilge that's the width of a flight deck and paint it? Have you ever had to stand 5 hours of watch in a 100 degree steam plant and only get 10 hours off before having to go do it again? Being an LS3, not likely. So don't go saying it's shameful for an enlisted guy to want a commission for the sake of getting out of the enlisted ranks. Leave your air conditioned office and that comfy chair then come meet me on the 8th deck in the bilge and we'll talk..
Haven't heard anything yet... but if somebody posts them to this forum as soon as they're released they'll be my hero. Are the results out yet?
yesWill the NAVADMIN have the selectees names in it?
That looks like fun. you look like you are just walking along when....ahh I'm falling into the ocean!Yep, that was from late June/early July while I was in Vietnam.
