FY12 STA-21 Applicants

Well, I analyzed past NFO data and I've come up with 22 slots for this year. Let's see how accurate that is.

I hope so. On the facebook page it shows that at least 9 people dropped a package for NFO, and those are the ones who responded. So there are going to be more. I am willing to be more then last year's 14. 22 would be an awesome number. I will cross my fingers.

There have been 4 years since STA-21 started that have had over 20 slots. To find the number 22, I basically graphed the number of slots since the program started and then did a linear regression to get the line of best fit. Granted, the correlation coefficient is only .42 since the numbers have not been very linear but it might be a good ballpark. Maybe a couple less with the budget, etc.

I am just waiting for that one magical click where I refresh the NPC website and I see 309/11 FY12 STA-21 SELECTEES. Or when I refresh this thread and see that I missed 2 pages worth of post in less than 15 minutes.

Confidence? What's that? Anyone that actually put the effort to put a complete package together and get it through their COC on time has a chance.. It's scary to sit here hitting refresh and think what minor things in the package could make it tip you over the edge one way or the other..
