FY12 STA-21 Applicants

Was anyone else told to tell a joke during their officer boards? Four pilots stood on my board. At the end one said, "Every good pilot can tell jokes. Tell us a joke." Talk about put on the spot! Luckily one came to me.. It was right after Osama was killed, so i asked them if they'd heard about the new Osama Bin Laden drink, it's two shots and a splash of water.

No but I was asked what I would do if one of my airman came up to me and asked me to sign a chit to get a boob job....let me tell you that broke the ice

At first I said something to the effect of it is her personal business, but then I said i would take into account how this might effect her job, ie time out of work, possible medical problems later, etc......and I was honest and told them personally I was thinking of doing it myself and I had to think about how it might effect my chances of becoming a pilot.

The navy will pay for one cosmetic surgery if you make a valid case that it affects your work performance/confidence

Word is around the grapevine that some commands can actually get the navy to pay for it. They claim that if they are unhappy about their physical appearance and a boob job will help their morale, then why not...

If the Navy is paying for boob jobs and refuses to pay for my 9!$%^ enlargement surgery I am submitting an equal opportunity grievance

You have to run a request to have ANY elective surgery.

Reason being, it's optional and is going to directly impact your ability to perform your duties, deploy, etc.

This used to be true before the wars, in order to keep up surgeons skills, but to my knowledge is no longer possible. Sure is a shame though!
