✌ FTFOHeyo, fellow Trojan(s)! Nice to see a comrade or two in the class.
I'm a firm believer that, although a STEM degree isn't "required", nothing sets you up better to smoke the OAR and non-stick wiggling portions of the ASTB better than an Aerospace Engineering degree. Big props to my Viterbi AME alum for killing the test.Sweet baby Jesus that OAR score

Just FYI if anyone was wondering about cross referencing their scores, the August board is already hearing back, and it’s making me even more nervous lol
Glad to hear it, bud. Did you do anything prior to help yourself along or just wing it when you got there?Went back to MEPS today for hearing re-inspect. Crushed it, now finally physically qualified according to MEPS, so now just down hill from here to get everything submitted!
Fortunately I was selected on the 13 AUG board, wanted to share info if anyone wants to reference:
-Applied: SNA only
-Motivation statement: I wrote just over 400 words. My statement wasn't focused on it but I did mention my interest in naval aviation, also touched on prior experiences (military and civilian) and why I felt those would make me a good addition to the Navy.
-LORs: (1) O-4 prior company commander, (2) O-3 prior platoon commanders, (1) student org advisor
-Waivers: Tattoo, LASIK (MEPS required additional info)
-GPA: 3.58
-Major: Mechanical Engineering
-ASTB: 55 7/8/7
Best of luck on the upcoming board. I graduate in December so hopefully I'll catch some of y'all in Newport.
i literally plugged my ears with foam for 4 days prior to the test!Glad to hear it, bud. Did you do anything prior to help yourself along or just wing it when you got there?
