Me. I would definitely prefer to be at the stick, but in the end getting the surgery and having to sit out flying (college) for x mos would have been a pain, plus I would have to reapply about a year from now with no BDCP. I'm hoping to get my eyes zapped in the service and possibly making the transition to SNA after OCS... we'll see how that goes.
For awhile I was set on turning down the SNFO contract, but the loan market for college students, the uncertainty of reapplying - I'm confident in my package, but I hear rumors of only the first 50 applicants being looked at each month etc. -
Mostly though, I was happy with what the Navy was offering:
