Wearing your whites/khakis/charlies/alphas around P-cola is like being at the beach and trying to sell sand. Maybe back home on libbo in Ballsack, Idaho, they work like Spanish Fly, but not here on the Redneck Riviera.

The hot chicks/guys in uniform connection is highly overrated anyway . . .

Ha
I wore my blues in Austin a couple weeks ago... didn't pay for one drink all night (despite trying to refuse a couple till i gave up), had multiple people say "if anyone gives you trouble, come find us and we'll fix them", and most importantly, talked to nearly every girl that walked in the bar we were at and wound up with one and several sets of digits.... and if this goofy lookin dude can do it.... anyone can. Maybe you should peddle your game somewhere other than Seville.

In non-military towns, Dress Blues are panty-droppers. Of course, we don't go out looking like the Good Humor man, so your mileage may vary.

Please tell me you had a reason to wear your blues and just weren't trolling for trim. I'm drawing a blank, unless we went to the Chinese calendar or something and it's the year 5596 and the Marine Corps birthday came 5 months early.

As you go further along, wearing you uniform won't seem nearly as novel. I'm not sure whether it's that one is used to it, or that one is more jaded. Hopefully it's the first and not the second.

Shoot, along those lines, when I came back from OCS I wore those damn T-shirts everywhere. Now, I would never wear something like that outside the gym. Generally speaking, the extremely junior and extremely senior members wear a lot of service memorabilia. The junior ones because they're fired up; the senior ones because they're fashion faux-pas in action.

Big towns on the east coast love the whites in particular. Boston and New York City has girls creaming their panties for the white uniform, particularly the chokers. Also, the older guys at bars will try to act as fatherly types saying thank you and buying drinks.
