Good Starter Headset

Yeah though the bose give me sticker shock just like the road bike.

They will last you forever, and after a few flights with them the price will be inconsequential. Believe me. I've got thousands of hours sampling headsets, and you want the right one off the bat. A "starter" headset is for someone that's not sure if they'll keep flying. Buy one that will last you forever, and be done. I PROMISE you there is nothing better. DC 13.4's are good, but you can wear the Bose for 10+ hours (and I have) and never even know they are there. After two hours with the DC's they get hot, heavy, and start to clamp down on your head. Plus the active noise attenuation reduces fatigue exponentially. Sticker shock... they are worth every cent.

BOSE nice canceling headsets are definitely the way to go only if price is not an option.

I'm guessing price is an option unless Uncle Sam's paying for it. In that case, you can go wrong with a trusty set of David Clark's.
