My recruiter called me this morning to give me the official unnofical good news that i am a final select for pilot training!!!!! he said that he will call me tommorow with my class date.

I know everyone is curious about how selection process went.
I am an E-5 comming up on 8 years service, commercial pilot, astb scores
were 8,7,6 58. 3.2 GPA BS aeronautics. i did 88 push up two min, 91 sit ups, 1.5 mile in 10:32

I spent 4 years in VF-11 as an airframes CDI, i have been sailor of the quarter 4 times sailor of the year once. I made E-5 with in two years of being on active duty. i am in excellent shape and had more letters of recomentdation than needed. This was the third time i applied. so i had to keep getting more each time. but i had letters of recommendation from an 0-7, two 0-6's an 0-5, and two 0-3's all of whom i worked with or for. one of the 0-3's is currently flying the number 7 jet for the blue angels. i have had excellent evals the entire time i have been in the navy. I know how competitive this is, i say again this was my third attempt. so those of you that really want this keep your head up and don't let the BS get you down if you keep trying you will eventually get it.
