The Country Music Marathon is a good time. I did the half twice when I was in college, mainly because it was uber convenient as the start line was literally outside the door of my dorm. Lots of bands on the course, really fun.
Did the Austin 70.3 back in October. Good times. The NOLA one looks sweet, but I'm not in 70.3 shape right now. Best of luck!

I did the full ironman in Louisville, KY in August of '09...I'm not in quite as good of shape now as I was then, but hopefully I'll survive through this Half IM
