Hasn't been any flight spots in 2 classes I just found out

So this fall there will be 3 classes worth of applicants going for October slots. This is in the Milwaukee area.

Hadn't been able to talk to a recruiter for since last summer and just did and was very surprised. Anyone else running into this? Has anyone else still been selected when going through this? What did you do to make your application stand out?
