Academics will play some part in it, but realize that as long as you meet the baseline requirements, your performance as an enlisted Marine will be a much greater factor in your acceptance. It is a very competitive program to get into. Not saying it's impossible, but it's by no means a guarantee. If you will be satisfied at the end of your enlistment having just earned the title, "Marine," then that's great, but don't enlist thinking it's a stepping-stone to being an officer. It's an end in itself.

Go MECP. Make sure you are knocking out some college gen-eds while enlisted, you will need those credits because it looks nearly impossible for you to take four years off for school and still meet the age requirements for aviation. Another giant obstacle will be OCS. If your grades are good in college, it matters not which school you go to, and your ASVAB is good, you can get an air contract while you are in college. Good luck.

ASVAB or do you mean ASTB?
