Agreed with the 45 mph BS. I pulled a uhaul 12 footer down to pcola from Atlanta averaging about 80 mph. No problems. Renting a uhaul truck seems like over kill for 600 pounds though. I pulled 1800 in a trailer and still had tons of room.

So theoretically I could haul more than 600# if doing it myself, they just wouldn't re-imburse for the extra weight, correct?

Just to clarify, I wasn't hauling extra weight above the 600 pounds. I had orders for a PCS move from my home of record to Pensacola. If you have acc 432 on your orders you will get PCS orders. You will be authorized to move or have moved up to 10,000 pounds. If you have acc 431 on your orders you only get the 600 pounds. I made a good little chunk doing a DITY move, but as of right now if you have acc 431 you will get perdiem and BAH so you rake it in while you're here. They usually only give acc 432 to prior enlisted and those that are married. For some reason I got them though, so make sure to look on your orders when you get them.
