Looks pretty vanilla to me. Not a lot of lumps and bumps for antennas or sensors. Looks like a few mounting points on the nose but I don't see any mounts on the tail or vertical stab.

Could it be the new USAF 60W, just without wings, weapons, ASE, etc? It does say "experimental" on the side, and I don't know of any other Hawks in development.

On second thought, I can't imagine they'd fly it around without the probe on. Seems prohibitively expensive to remove. No idea what it is.

I did note the "experimental" tag as well but FAA experimental is a different thing than EMD. I just saw a pic of the two HH-60W EMD a/c being finished up in West Palm and they both had radomes, ARPs, and orange instrumentation on them.

Could be a corporate LM/Sikorsky bird that they trot out for demos.

My take is that it is an S70i Firehawk...a highly rebuilt UH-60A. Several companies are making them including one in Poland. This one looks like it is intended for use with the L3 Wescam “gunship-to-go” concept.

What is this wizardry? A digital back up AI? That's just crazy. I prefer my back up AIs to be tiny, poorly lit, and capable of having multiple mechanical weaknesses. Bonus points if it's in a place I can't see it.

I do like the RADALT. It looks like it's made for old blind people like me.

The instrumentation is almost an exact clone of the UH/HH-60M. In fact, an M qualified pilot needs no transition training, while an A/L pilot must go through a transition course. At least that's the proposal. The weird thing is, although the instrumentation looks the same, the source data is quite different between the V and the M.

Saw this arriving at HAI last year. Never found out who or what sort of -60 it was since I left before opening when it had to be in place on display.

Does the Navy get one in Aquaflage? At least they didn't put that stuff on the inlets or the FM antenna/drive shaft cover. I wonder if that is a vinyl wrap. Opens up all kinds of potential for advertising.
