Hot water to deice?!

Awww, it takes money (whopping three bucks sometimes) and forethought (you gotta walk inside the little store at the gas station)... too hard!
Neither of which are ever readily available if needed.
I wonder how much de-icing we use in Guam?
All of our TR DEICE cables were cut off on our birds in Bahrain.
If you end up on the Essex det you might see some icing.

I didn't take a physics class in high school. I did take applied physics in college though, where I learned about the Mpemba effect. Plus it's on the internet, so it has to be true

pfffffft...Everyone knows hot water freezes faster than cold water! Jeez.
There might be a difference between putting a static container of hot water in freezing conditions, and pouring hot water on a cold plane (which just might introduce bubbles).
