My wife and I are moving with our two dogs to Corpus and our house will be available for rent. The landlord is great and we're just trying to help him out by finding someone to take our place. The rent is actually $1000/mo, but the landlord pays for cable internet right now, which makes the rent effectively $965.
It's 15-20 minutes to Whiting, and about 35 minutes to Pensacola NAS (if driving the shortest distance between the two bases you pretty much drive right by our house). There's a firepit in the backyard, and is great if you have dogs. A lot of places around here are pretty strict about pets... in contrast, our landlord is really good about them. It also has vaulted ceilings, a big kitchen, and is in a really good and quiet neighborhood. It was built in 2001, I believe, and feels very new. I'll try to put some pictures up later.
