Take it easy...

Towbubba, take it easy man. I now where you're coming from. As far as becoming the "best pilot," remember first that you are a rifleman/plt leader no matter what. If you are in it for self, you are wrong. Take a big look at the Corps and see where you fit in the whole picture of mission accomplishment. Support for the guy on the ground is essential and first no matter what.
I am pretty sure you meant take it easy, sir. I didn't say anything about being the "best pilot" you have your quotes mixed up. I am "in it" for my buddies who have recently died in Iraq. I have seen where I fit in in the Corps and have seen it from both sides officer and enlisted infantry, have you? I at least have been trained to be a provisional rifle platoon commander and am working hard for the day when I can be that Cobra off station and every person in my crosshairs are the one who dropped the hammer on my buddies. I am glad you can have an uninformed academic debate on mission accomplishment but for me it's a bit more personal. Other than that Devil I suggest you hit the books and spend more time worrying about college and less time on AW because you have a long way to go before you are in my shoes ie OCS, commission, TBS, MOS school. Carry out the plan of the day and maybe review your 10th general order.

Everything you said is true, as a matter of fact its exactly what is crammed down your throat at TBS. My question is how does your comment fit into this post?
