Incoming SNAs and SNFOs NKO Training

If you have free time before you get here, there are five courses you need to take on NKO for their certificates:

- DoD Information Assurance (needed for your training jacket as well as setting up your NMCI account)
- Trafficking of Persons (needed for setting up your NMCI account)
- Driving for Life (needed before API if under 26 years old)
- ORM Aviation Fundamentals Course (needed for IFS/API)
- ORM Aviation Essentials for Leaders Course (needed for IFS/API)

Doing these will save you some time and might help you class up for IFS/API sooner.
 
Thanks for the heads up. I guess this would be more productive than just reading magazines during the day at the unit.
 
If your going through OCS don't worry about it because you will be completing these while at OCS. Good gouge for folks coming from other programs, though.

You will also eventually need to do the FY08 NKO however not for API. It's a few courses that if you are bored you can get out of the way while stashed.
 
Ahh thank you, i guess. I'm a be reporting around the July 1st. Anyone coming down around the same time? And if so, any SNA/FO types need a roomate?
 
This is a slippery slope... you could probably find your pubs online too... Eventually... API online.

My suggestion is to not worry about it till you get down here. Drink beer, you'll be kicking yourself when you don't have the time later... (but manage to find time to lurk on airwarriors...sigh)

But good gouge whenever you choose to do them.
