Marines do and have flown in F-4's recently alongside our Navy bretheren. They are QF-4's out of Pt Mugu, CA. Unfortunately, one went down on April 21, 2002, at an airshow which killed the NFO who was a Marine Captain and the pilot, and Nacy Lt Cdr.

It is not a primary platform, both would have come from the fleet and then selected for this duty.
