You do realize the green party wanted to cut the military budget over 90%. To give it just enough to defend U.S. soil in case we're attacked. That would make the world a dangerous place.

More of a dem. There are things I like about all the parties though. Republicans are just far too conservative for me in general. The Green party has some good ideas, and I believe we need more environmental protection. However, I the maximum wage, while a good idea in theory, would never work for the same reason communism didnt. Profit motive is what moves people to inovate and work harder.

Unfortunatley I was enlisted when I was 18 so I guess I never had a heart.

Those of you that are skeptical will learn in due time how the world works. Being at the "Tip of the Spear" one day will make sure of that. Like many on this forum I had Slick Willie as my Commander in Chief. (I originally said a few words about our former President here, but decided to delete in case children read this post)

All I really have to say is that I like my money, and I like pay raises. Oh, and did I mention I'm from Texas? That means I like Mr. Bush as well.

marti- that line has been misquoted and misattributed many times, but I believe the original quote (whoever said it) was "anyone who is not a socialist at 19 has no heart, anyone who still is a socialist at 30 has no head" or something like that.

As I said I'm not in the military yet, but it still amazes me how the GOP manages to succeed in associating itself more strongly with the military in popular opinion despite the fact that virtually all of its leadership avoided service in Vietnam.

JEEZ, I had no idea my green party comment would be taken so seriously. I took a test once in poli-sci that told you what -ism you fit into. It turns out that I'm a borderline fascist, but who in the military isn't. Truthfully I don't really affiliate with any party, I believe in what I believe in.
