Well thankfully you are in a service that agrees with you. The Navy however uses it pointing to a tradition older than the nation itself. Of all the Naval traditions that cause friction between blue and green on ship this is minor. Those damn !@$#$ whistles on the other hand. I realize they served a purpose in the days of wooden ships and iron men but embrace the technology (we have speakers and stuff). Ok I have a compromise in mind. We can keep the whistles in exchange for bringing back a tradition that Im sure was more loved-the Rum ration.

I am all for a bill that allows that. It would probably make a deployment not so bad afteral. Well, when there is nothing to do and you are bored, you can always drink away your misery. :D
