LES Allotment Question

I don't think there has EVER been an LES that I recieved that I didn't wonder what PSD and/ord DFAS was doing on there to screw me out of some money...

I started laughing for a couple seconds until I remembered that John use to be an admin bubba himself....if the former admin weenies are scared, then does that me I should too?

So I'm looking at my LES and I saw that something named AFAF allotment has been getting taken out of my pay for as far back as I could see. Anyone know what this is? I did a search and all I could come up with was the Air Force Assistance Fund which looked like something akin to our Navy/Marine Corps Relief Society. If that's the case, then why the %@#$ am I paying for Air Force charity?!?!?!!!!!

i know we already established that this is for nmcrs (for sailors and marines) but i just found out exactly what it stands for: Armed Forces Assistance Fund.
