Dang man, gotta agree with jt.

In short, go drink. ;)

I contracted with the Marines for July OCS last year, then again for January OCS, then applied in November for Navy OCS, and I have yet to be seen by a board. I'm getting pretty used to waiting / drinking.

But hey whats a few more beers?

Well, my recruiter just told me that the board didn't meet last Thurs/Fri, but they are definitely meeting this week. Better than January's board which met the around the 25th. Seriously flyman...I don't know what i'd do if I had to wait around that long. Ironically, i'd probably get myself DQ'd from the more than habitual drinking i'd get into :p. Speaking of, anyone making beer bets for this board like January's?

just talked with my recruiter. Said there was a request for more info on someone from my district sent out of monday, which means they were probably meeting and would finish up today or tomorrow. Is it too early to double down on a beer bet?

So if they do finish up in the next couple of days, does that mean that we should here something soon about the results?

Ok. So if we want to do the over/under thing for beers we need to pick a date. Lets say the boards finish tomorrow and the over/under date is a week from then. So the 24th? Does that sound good to everyone?

And I'm picking over. I hope I'm wrong.

Hello All,

I noticed most here are going for SNA or NFO spots. I'm very impressed with everyone's qualifications, I read a lot of great things! I am going for an entirely different community - Civil Engineer Corps (Seabees), but I thought I would include my background/qual's in this thread:

31 year old male
Currently work as a civil engineer for a local government/utility provider. Responsible for design/engineering, construction contract management, and personnel management of capital improvement projects (water storage tanks, pump stations, piping systems, roadways, drainage, etc.)
Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Auburn University, 3.8 GPA (Magna Cum Laude)
Bachelor of Business Management w/ Economics Minor
Engineer-In-Training Registration, Amer. Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Associate Member

6'1", 165 lbs
First Place, Corporate Division Individual, 2007 Orlando Sprint Triathlon at Baldwin Park
PRT is pretty solid (haven't timed it lately)

Package is at board right now. I'm definitely not holding my breath while waiting for the results! Best of luck to everyone - your packages look competitive to me!

My Uncle was a Seabee in Vietnam. One of the most generous and most admirable men I know. His experience in the Seabees has made him somewhat of a millionaire now as well.

I'm going to have to say over as well. Though I feel a bit silly for asking, how will we settle up? We're not all going to be in the same class of course.
