I'm an Active Duty KC-130 guy who just got IA'ed to a Reserve Bn for a FAC tour. I'm in SoCal for about 4 months training then we head to Iraq in September. I had always heard the same thing about Reserve Battalions not deploying. I knew what we were doing when I volunteered so it's a good deal both ways. I'm still on DIFOPS so that kinda sucks but I'll deal with whatever that costs me down the road...
