FRS is basically an intro to the aircraft designed to make you ready to learn the mission. In Training and Readiness Manual terms, "combat capable." A couple months into your fleet squadron, you are ready to do the basic msns of your platform, and you're "combat qualified." Once you have the write-offs on the exotic stuff, e.g. FAST rope, flying in a gas mask, etc., you're "combat ready." This is speaking from the helo perspective.
