If for some reason you get an NFO slot and have to phase you out, will they train you to be an SNA?
As the day comes closer (maybe) they'll probably gradually increase the number of NFO to NA transitions. Currently they're pretty limited, in the low single-digits each year. Those who are more junior will have better shots at getting this deal. Think about it--they probably won't send a major or ltcol to Milton to start over again. Those more senior will fill out more and more non-flying billets. At colonel and higher, flying isn't a very big part of the job description, so those guys will still have it made.
