@mikwat, I would love him to come on here and share some stories, but he gets frustrated when someone even suggests that they can email him something, much less even knows how to operate a computer. He doesn't own one, he thinks they're worthless, and doesn't "expect that the whole computer fad will last very long"

It's funny how technologically dependent we are these days. I think the only checks I EVER write are to pay wardroom dues once a year. I honestly don't know what it's like to conduct business without a computer. Pretty much right as I turned 18, computers and e-commerce were in their infancy, so I was right on the cusp of the first generation of people to never pay bills by mail, or phone.

I pay all my monthly bills either automatically or with a 5 minute stop to a website/USAA. I can't imagine how disorganized I'd be and how difficult simple daily chores would be without a computer.

I find it sad everyone just wears the garbage Bates uniforms shoes now, especially the corfams. Ugly, uncomfortable shoes. At least they give us somewhat solid boots now. I just don't get why everyone's footwear must be the same. If it's in regs and in good condition (i.e. good shine), what's the big deal?

Absolutely. House is right off I-270, Democracy Blvd, thence Democracy Lane, very easy access. Could meet here and then go off where ever or pick a place. This good place, http://www.mosaiccuisine.com, not expensive, different, clearly European. All that said prob best to meet here (flexible time) since you are down via I-270 and to most eateries would involve no back tracking.

Calendar pretty much open. Friend from Vegas visits 4/10 & 4/11 but all other dates fine (or pencil and can move).

Looking forward to it.

I have to attend a meeting on the NIH campus to kick some ass and take names (God, I hate doing projects for the gubment). Shouldn’t take very long, (I'm gonna talk first!:icon_wink) meeting starts at 9:00. They’re in the process of setting a date. I’ll PM you.
