HA, I would love for that to be true! As for my recruiter, he still thinks it's taking place in late February...

A little sliver of me is hoping because they're holding a SWO board on Monday that maybe they'll take a peek at a few apps that missed the last board? Long long long shot I know, but it never hurts to dream, that's what got us here in the first place after all. Realistically though I'm hoping that the next board gets expedited at least a bit if just for the sheer number of apps that missed the last one because they didn't know about it. Maybe another month or so? Entirely speculation but my recruiter thinks it won't go the full 90 days. (I really hope he's right)

Well, my OR is trying to convince me that there's a pilot board every month, though I know this isn't the case. I think he's trying to keep me from looking for a civilian job while I'm waiting for the board because he doesn't get that I need some sort of job and thinks that I'm no longer interested no matter what I tell him

Seriously? I thought that the last NFO board (February 3) was going to be fleet only, but I never heard anything about future boards being closed to civs. Thanks for the heads up. But can you give more info? Like why? Or when the next civ NFO board might be? My depth perception isn't up to SNA standards, that's why my app has NFO as #1. And yeah, I paid for a private optometrist who confirmed my depth perception. I have good depth perception, just slightly below SNA standards.

But at this point I just want to go SNA and hopefully get accepted. If my depth perception still sucks at NAMI then I'll get relegated to NFO. What do yall think? Ugh so torn

If you didn't pass depth perception at MEPS then you won't be PQ for SNA, which prevents you from going to board for SNA

Yeah even my AOR, a Senior Chief, is telling me this, but from what I know, it's definitely every 90-120 days. Unless something changes

For what it's worth, this forum has always been spot-on and I just go by what RUFiO or NavyOffRec post. A monthly pro-rec board for aviation has never been mentioned here, I was just given that information for similar reasons you were - my recruiter definitely had his own agenda.

Oh yeah, I've had to stop listening to my OR and have to ask on here or someone else at my NRD, he gives me correct info about 50% of the time

Assistant (to?) Officer recruiter. At least that's how he's been presented to me.It confuses me a bit too, I'm not sure if the O in OR/AOR only means they deal with officer applicants or if they have to be an officer for that title. My OR seems to be the only one who he assists though

If he is a senior chief and he is an assistant to an OR I wonder what he did wrong.
