Didn't get picked up on last board. I have an alcohol waiver, so i'm scheduling an ASTB retake to try and bump up my scores and hopefully overcome that waiver. I was planning on getting in on this board but my recruiter is telling me that I have to wait 6 months to reapply even if I increase my ASTB scores. I've seen this brought up on here before and it was my understanding that with a substantial change to the package, you could reapply as soon as possible. Has this changed?

He might just be thinking that with that alcohol incident it would be good to put some more time between it and you applying, or depending how bad the incident was he may just thing if he puts you off 6 months you will lose interest.

Hey guys. I just heard from my recruiter that the board date has been set for May 18th. This is my first time going through this process so I'm assuming that's official, but I wanted some moderators here to confirm that first.
Hope this is true, and hope I make this one.

The 368's suck. That is the only reason I did not make the last SNA/NFO board in time. Best of luck. My suggestion is keep on top of your OR as much as possible.
Unfortunately the OR has nothing to do with my 368 as that is something my chain of command in the Army has to handle. Last I heard my 368 was still sitting on the desk of an 0-7 waiting to be signed as it takes the signature of the first General Officer in the chain of command to release a soldier from his contract.

That was also the reason I missed the last board which sucks because I hear the selection rate was awesome.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't read the signature that you were prior. Yes, that selection rate was amazing! There were guys with lower ASTB scores than I got that got accepted. I hope I didn't miss out and we get another good selection rate. Finger crossed.

Yeah a 368 is a conditional release form. Hopefully it is and hopefully we all get selected. I would hate to not get selected and continue to play the wait game or whatever the outcome would be.

There were also people with higher ASTB scores than you and didnt get selected...

Whole person concept.

Best of luck to all on this go around!

As far as 368 goes they are a hassle and yes you must stay on top of it! Persostence is key!

Im with @kylestevens. My recruiter scheduled an interview with a Commodore for me on Monday (I should be in this board also). Ive worked with multiple recruiters for SNA, all of which discussed an interview as part of the application process.

Interviews are generally required for those who need waivers, not anyone else.

If a person doesn't have a waiver issue aviation really doesn't care about an interview, they want the good ASTB scores.

Would medical waivers be a reason to need an interview then?
